BRIEFLY ABOUT CONSTANTIN KURMANTSEV

Constantin became a Christian in 1992, when he was 17 years old. It happened right after his parents had divorced. Soon after, he began studying at the Krasnoyarsk State University in the economics department. After he graduated, he began working at a bank. He planned to make a career as a successful businessman, but God had a different plan for his life. God called him for full-time missionary work. It was not an easy decision, but Constantin quit the job in response to God’s call and began studying at a seminary. He now can see this is when God changed the direction of his life.

Yana came to know the Lord when she was still in school, in 1993, when her friend invited her to go “where people smile.” Yana had a very difficult childhood but from that moment she was happy with the Lord. Yana later finished medical college and worked with drug addicts. In church, her ministry was connected to children right from the very beginning. Yana and Constantin have been married since 1998. They have two daughters, Anastasia and Alyona.

In the year 2000 Constantin and Yana joined staff with Campus Crusade for Christ in Russia to reach students in Siberia for Jesus. By God’s grace, they have seen much fruit from their ministry. For nine years, they worked with the campus ministry, thousands of students heard the Gospel, hundreds made a step to pray for forgiveness, dozens became a part of churches across Russia, and some even became missionaries or Christian workers.

In 2006, God gave Constantin and Yana a clear calling to develop a ministry among graduates and businessmen. Typically, successful and influential people, businessmen and politicians do not come to evangelical churches. Constantin and Yana have made it their goal to stimulate interest about the spiritual aspects of life, to share the truths of Christianity and to pray that God would touch the hearts of businessmen and young professionals. Businessmen are developed leaders. This means that once they become disciples of Christ, they can have a great amount of influence and produce abundant fruit for the Kingdom of God. Just imagine that businessmen and politicians will believe in Christ and come to churches as followers of Christ!

In 2009, Constantin and Yana started developing this new ministry in Siberia. This ministry exists only in three Russian cities: Moscow Saint-Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk. In the vast Siberia, Krasnoyarsk is the only city where you can see such a ministry. But there are many Christian workers who have already showed interest to develop such ministry in their Siberian cities.

To lead the whole nation to Christ with only 1% evangelical Christians in the all population, it is vital to reach influential people. Constantin and Yana invite you to serve Jesus with them as partners to reach the unreached of Siberia for God’s Kingdom!
